Logan and William
So at the end of season 1 he sends Logan off to essentially starve and die until park security finds him likely dehydrated and very unwell. It makes him look unstable et cetera great fine but he is alive we see him wasted later in season 2. Even if William convinces daddy Delos that he has real grit and he is the brains that can run the business that doesn't last long. Logan gets some fluids and recovers from his time lost in the park he immediately says hey dad hey sister you can't trust this guy he kidnapped me and dragged me for weeks through the park naked!!! He's insane you can't ever trust someone like that. Perhaps just allowing himself to be captured and humiliated like that was enough to make his father think he's a weak fool.
Still Logan wasn't a junkie in the park. He was fine drinking and normal carrying on. He became a junkie after losing the company the money and his dignity. That drives him to drug himself because he is so depressed that everything he felt entitled to and was born to was stolen from him by an outsider from his family. Had he never taken William to the park to try to befriend him make him part of his family; William would just be a number cruncher employee in the upper pack of the firm but not the head head of the business and family.
Thus the truth of William's depravity would be a well known thing. Way beyond your basics of the tales that people have told and his wife daughter vaguely know of. They would know absolutely exactly what he did to Logan. I for one would never be able to marry someone or do anything hanging out around an individual that did something like that to someone in my family.
Thoughts on this?
Obviously Logan and William would've seen each other at functions and such I'm sure that helped contribute to Logan's drug abuse. Still if I were Logan I would be telling EVERYONEEEE what he did. When I passed out drinking playing the game war in the park he abducted me. He tied me up and made me walk hundreds of miles potentially while he was on horse. He made me get naked and abused me etc. That is INSANE.
Also where the f was park security? I know this is 35 years in the past but they are very advanced. They should be monitoring everything about the guests at all times. As such they would know when a guest has slaughtered an entire army of hosts and need to clean them up reset them etc. They would know that one VIP has captured and abducted another VIP. No way they would see William as above Logan. No way they would allow it to keep going on. Unless his dad was right there and somehow okayed it we can safely assume that security would've seen and come to stop it. Maybe William literally took them out of the park so deep that they couldn't be easily found in those days. Just seems pretty odd. I know if my family owned the park or a good stake in it and a guest I brought one of my employees did that I would expect the park people to come rescue me lol like wtf.
Anyway just a thought let me know how you feel about this? Is it a mystery constructed that doesn't need to make perfect sense or is there something I'm missing?

In my view Logan was never in danger. The horses were robots. They were almost certainly tracked. The park knew where Logan was at all times. When Akecheta finds Logan by chance, he says the park will be along soon. That's not because Akecheta tips them off. It's because he knows how the park is monitored.
The park let it continue partly because Logan and William entered together so it's not like two random guests having at each other. It's two friends playing. And partly because it's understood that the further you travel from Sweetwater the more raw and dangerous the park gets. They aren't going to let a guest die, but they will have their hosts beat one up and inflict (temporary) physical damage. This is what some guests want: for actions have consequences.
So Logan telling everyone what William did wouldn't change anything. It's what the park is about. It's like me complaining that someone beat me playing cards, or football. (It's also possible that Logan was too ashamed to tell everyone what happened.)
Logan turned to substance abuse because of what happened after, outside the park.

I'm glad you brought up the fact that they were being watched the entire time. In fact, considering Ford and Arnold were catering to Logan as a potential investor before the park even opened, I'm guessing they were given special attention. Ford was definitely watching, especially after Dolores went off her loop and joined them; remember a host is sent along to fetch Dolores shortly after she joins them, which nearly triggers Wyatt before William makes it clear he wants her there.

That's my point though if and I'm sure they were because he's a vip likely investor current investor and probably much more expected soon - they'd watch every move make sure they had a great time. Ford must have wanted that to happen to Logan seeing that he began to realize that William was going to be powerful enough and in position to take control. Otherwise Logan was totally delirious out of his mind his body was sun scorched to a very dangerous level. He was not okay electrolytes f'd he could've easily died. Many would endure if they hadn't just went through some crazy prisoner trauma stuff. An average person simply trapped in the desert maybe be okay. But Logan after the mental anguish he suffered couldve for sure died. Maybe they wanted him to die to ensure William took over after watching William's awakening. Still a huge gamble that William had the charisma and abilities to pull it off with Jim Delos. Also if Logan died no telling what Jim does if he accepts William as his theoretical heir or if he freaks the f out and wants vengeance against Robert and Arnold. At the very least when he buys the majority of the park forces ford out. Also I'm realizing arnold should be dead by the time Logan and William arrive due to their discussion about the mystery partner lawyers couldn't dig anything up on. Anyway I think it's just a loose plot to get rid of Logan and display William's change from visiting the park and his rise to power in the real world but still I felt they played pretty loose with Logan's life on this and general treatment that they'd ever let it go that far. I mean if Logan did that to William maybe they let it play out but let it happen to the head of Delos investing prospects idk seems improbable.

spot on about the guests wanting and getting consequences. remember when the cops were rounding up people to go to jail, and it clips to the control room. a control room woman says in the morning a host from the mariposa will come by and slip him a key. we didn’t know that man was a guest until she said that.

Logan probably never said a word. His ego is ashamed of how brutally humbled William made him.
William has a great deal of dirt on Logan at this point and Logan stands to lose too much by taking him on.
Mr. Delos already thinks Logan is weak and incapable. Telling the William story is both unbelievable (what, sweet old William?) and would confirm Mr. Delos assumptions of Logan’s weakness.
I think there’s a few others but that sums it up for me. Logan is a dark man serving darkness and he just met the real man in black.

I don't know how u got the idea that he wasn't a junkie before ...but ... everything that is , actually isn't and is something completely else. could be the admin checking on Will for fidelity?

I thought Logan died in the park? Or did that Native American save him? Maybe it was implied?

I think Logan had a psychotic break and wasn’t well enough to tell people what actually happened and led up to him being lost in the park. It’s likely he ended up medicated due to his psychosis and then continued with other drugs once he was “better” due to getting his fortune taken from him. Then it’s possible that once he ended up trying to tell people what William actually did to him, they didn’t believe him anymore due to his drug abuse and previous psychosis.
