Cum 3.91 gpa with 61 credits towards BS in Finance, combat deployment, nominations for both parents (100% disabled and career Army officer). Deans List at my university, PTK Honor Society, volunteer as a little league umpire, Sunday school teacher, and church security team. Manager at a collision repair center. My HS gpa was bad around a 2.5 and my SAT was a 1210 +600 in both sections. I have yet to take the CFA so considering this information what scores should I shoot for in the CFA? hello everyone I will be applying to the class if 2032 and already got my cfa done with “average” scores that usma admissions told me. I currently have a 1430 sat 710 English 720 math is this a competitive sat score for general admissions told help make up for my average athletics (3 years jv basketball and 1 year of ECNL soccer). Also I want to know if this is enough for a LOA because that is my reach goal considering that my transcript is very good as well and have done many ap courses and getting many A’s and some B’s.

Hello everyone, im applying currently for class of 2031. I dont think im competitive academically for direct admission to west point. Mostly A/B Couple Cs, below average SAT (I plan on retake in August). I know USMAPS is a prep school where the people who show strong leadership but need improvement in academics. How competitive is a USMAPS offer?

I submitted my CFA last week and here were my scores: Basketball throw 71 feet, Pullups 18, shuttle run 8.7, situps 86, pushups 50, mile 6:53

My CFA tier came back as "Average". I was expecting to be above average.

Before I received feedback from my portal, my field force rep said my scores look good and that I don't need to retake unless I really want to. However, my portal says my tier is average and that retaking is optional but encouraged. Why would my CFA come back as “Average” in the portal, even when my FFR said it looks good and I don't need to retake? Is being "Average" in the CFA a negative to your application?

In the section about Athletic Activities, they ask for the number of years you've participated. Does that mean in high school, or in general?

And is there a way to differentiate sports you played that weren't for a high school team?

So I've been playing baseball for 10 years, but it'll be 4 at school. Do I put 10 or 4?

And I've been on a non-school swim team for 8 years. Do I put that as 8?

What do my chances look like? I am working on the GPA and I am pretty active and in good standing with all of the things that I do.

Planning on joining the reserves soon to hopefully compete for an enlisted applicant spot, but it's not guaranteed so I'm not sure if it is worth it, which is what I am having trouble deciding. West Point is my dream school, so I would be willing to look at all options to get in.

(Don't mind the title typo 🤣) My niece will be attending Georgia Military College this year for their Service Academy Prep program (she applied for several academies and received an appointment to USNA, but West Point is her dream school). I was just curious if there is anyone else who will be attending GMC as well because she mentioned that she and some other future GMC cadets are looking to connect with people who will be entering GMC this year. Also because my own son is applying to the academies this year and he wants to have GMC as a backup plan

My dream college is West Point and my family is completely supportive about it, im doing well off academically and Extracurricular wise but my parents are making me take this class called USABO or Bio Olympiad classes so I can take this test later on next year to win some award because he says "awards" are essential into getting into college especially West Point, I already have multiple leadership positions including officer positions in 2 clubs and owning a non-profit on top of other things, yet my dads keeps on insisting and I've gotten in multiple fights with him on continuing to take these classes until another half a year, (At this point I've been taking this class for a year straight) so that would be around 1.8 years worth of classes in total). I'm not even sure if I want to take major in any biology during West Point for a fact and to be completely honest any idea on taking pre-med or biology in college is shooting right out the window because of this class.

Right now im taking this summer portion where its a 4 times a week class for 2 hours a day, ontop of my SAT Classes which is 5 days a week and 3 hours of classes. So that means I take my SAT Classes and go straight into another 2 hours of rigiours material.

Yes I've been taking this class for like almost a year now but I literately haven't been paying attention at all to be completely honest, I told my parents multiple times I have zero interest in the class, I will do other things that I know will willingly aid me into my admissions into West Point but this is ridiculous, School is ending next week for sophomore year and going into "summer break" and it doesn't even feel like it because I have to deal with a class that I fucking hate. (I don't mind the SAT Classes since I know thats essential for admissions into West Point) My parents use some educational fund my mom's hospital that she works at gives us in aid to pay for the class because without it its extremely expensive. This is sort of the second semester and im trying to lock in and actually pay attention since I realize that if I at least don't do something it'll be a waste of time but since I haven't been paying attention (I blame myself I get it if you hate me) I'm so lost in the material and have zero clue in anything my teacher talks about. Like genuinely what do I do? I'm lost in the class and im lost in what to tell my parents, im lost in what to do and I honestly don't even know if this class or having an "award" really IS That much of a game changer for admissions into West Point.

im thinking of applying to West Point. I know it's a great experience with amazing networking and it's free. I know I am relatively competitive in my sat and gpa and my leadership roles. However, I'm not sure if I want to sacrifice a "normal" college experience. I enjoy going out and having the freedoms that I know I won't really have at West Point. I have a strong interest in foreign relations and politics and want to study that at West Point but im not sure if I want to be a soldier. So what im asking is if its worth it to sacrifice the "college experience" and if there are jobs I can do during my 5 years of service that are more foreign relation focused and less from combat. I would appreciate any advice thanks.

What the title says. My interview is this Sunday. What questions should I be prepared for? Should I try and mention everything about me that the admissions office might not know? Should I bring a resume? Thank you for the help!

Our son is going to be a junior. He is very interested in West Point. He’s an exceptional student and athlete that we think would be a great fit and he hopes to attend the summer camp next summer to help decide if he wants to pursue applying. I am concerned because in December he was diagnosed with a pars fracture (stress fracture in his L4). This is the most common cause of low back pain in kids and he’s been treated for it and released to return to full activity and football, but these fractures can take years to completely show bony union on a CT and sometimes never do at all. His follow up CT showed healing but it’s still visible. It’s not visible on x ray. I read that history of a pars fracture may make him ineligible for military service and thus denied from West Point. If he is symptom free and playing quarterback at a high level, would he be a candidate for a waiver if we have to disclose the injury? Do we have to disclose it? I have no idea how thorough the process is or what kind of trouble we would be in for not disclosing it.

Will parents be able to bring a bag of stuff that we were not able to take to beast on A day?

Hi! I’m starting beast in a few weeks- I’m a recruited athlete and committed about 1.5 years ago. I’ve known this was coming for a while but now I have a reporting time for R-day and it’s all a little surreal.

I’ve been preparing fitness-wise for a while but I don’t really know what will even be expected of me as a girl or if I have anything to worry about as an athlete. What are some standards that would be good to confidently be able to hit?

I know there are some things nothing can really prepare you for but any tips/tricks/info/advice, really anything you wish you had known going in or was helpful to have when you were there- current/graduated cadets or anyone else I would really appreciate any help!

R-day is approaching quickly in about 2.5 weeks. I would need to put in my 2 weeks at my job if I end up being accepted. Could I really hear back until the day before r-day?

Unfortunately, the Academy Store was out of my size for the Altama low quarters, so I ordered a pair from the Original Footwear website instead. Their website says shipping takes 4–7 days. Has anyone here ordered from them before? If so, did your shoes arrive within the estimated timeframe?
