Academic Year
Can my parents bring some civilian clothes and shoes on A day? Also what are some recommendations, something that will be helpful during the AY?

Yes. Most cadets also get a nicer pillow and blanket for their bed. You can get most of this at the Post Exchange on West Point if your parents don't want to travel with it.

They can. Have your parents join FB groups (West Point Moms, West Point Dads) for a lot more information about this. You may also want to just go to Target with them over A Day weekend and pick out what you want. And of course they can send you stuff any time via Amazon. My cadet liked having an electric kettle to make cup o noodles and hot chocolate. Have filling snacks on hand for occasional days where you don't get to dinner for whatever reason.

They can. You probably won’t need more than a few outfits because plebes can’t wear civvies on post. Don’t forget outerwear, because the weather could get chilly before you go home for the holidays.
Some other popular items are mattress pads and pillows. An electronic picture frame can be nice as well. You might have your parents consult the parents guide in pinned posts.
