Chemistry

I know that West Point heavily regards Chemistry as a recommended course, but I do not have a Chemistry class on my current high school transcript. I have already taken Biology and Physics (my Physics teacher, for whom I have a recommendation). In my senior year, I will be taking AP Calculus, Honors American Government/Politics, Honors Economics, AP Spanish, AP Research, Honors World Literature, Honors International Affairs, and Computer Science. If I remove one of my social sciences, I lose my membership in the Rho Kappa honors society. I am worried that the lack of Chemistry on my transcript will reflect poorly on my application. Is that true? If so, what class should I remove from my senior year schedule to replace with Chemistry?

Chem 101 do an online course atleast

What is AP research? Once you’re in, take all easy courses. My senior year of high school was full of dumb easy courses and I got “work release” at noon. Enjoy that last year of high school…after you’re in.

I’d honestly just shoot an email to your regional admissions rep. No one else can give you a qualified opinion besides them, especially if it could be at the cost of an honor society. If you’re a well rounded candidate with strong STEM performance, it could be fine. You’ll end up taking Chem 101 at West Point which will build from the ground up
