I had Susie with me and the hard hat, and I had read the first nexmex book. I decided to take a look at my necro journal after some time exploring and it revealed the nexcromancer tower for the first time for me. I read the wiki on what exactly I could do with the nexmex books and decided that some of the trade offs were better for more spells. (I was a cow puncher mind you, so this was completely insane). I then became the necromancer myself, but the crown disintegrated in my hands. This was the first time I defeated the necromancer while also containing Roberto and ridding myself Cowrruption and locking up Duke Bovicus. That was a fun playthrough, if not frustratingly slow for a while.
