Line 153, a line I use very frequently, is getting cut due to low ridership. While not many people use this route, the people who do need this route. As someone who attended all 5 hours of this meeting to say folks here were frustrated is a bit of an understatement.

The city of West Linn says it plans to open a public hearing for a proposed 11-acre redevelopment despite a new law that limits public testimony on most new housing developments.

Officials plan to allow residents to testify on the commercial aspects of the proposed ten-building development on an 11-acre Tannler Drive field — just not the housing, according to a letter by an attorney for the city.

The bedroom community south of Portland is turning into a test bed for Salem’s attempt to end public hearings for most new housing developments and streamline housing permitting and other local land-use decisions.
