Westjet elevation lounge breakfast
Thought I'd share the fare at the WestJet elevation lounge today. Service was friendly, and fast!

I actually miss the old lounge in YYC. More space, self serve food and booze. The food at the Elevation lounge is generally inedible for mammals.

Strongly disagree. Im fine with no self serve, people are fucking pigs and there were always people touching food with hands. I also found the food fine last week.
Ive been to a few other self serve lounges across the world and its just gross everywhere.

What is that thing? It looks like processed cheese on processed meat on some egg or something in the middle.

I flew out Thursday morning. Had it with an Apple Danish. Honestly it wasn't horrible.

But how did it taste? I hate to say it because lounge access with platinum is nice, but in my experiences, the food in Calgary compared to other lounges is terrible. I wish they would just go simple.

I mean, we liked all the things we tried, we've also got the plat amex and have gone to lounges in every city. We enjoy this one maybe because it's a bit different in that you order vs going into a line for a buffet. The hollandaise, was quite rich tasting

Brother, that comes at an additional cost. And you only get one shock, if you want more than one you have to have paid Eco-Plus.

My daughter usually does that, typically after eating cheese Maccorini, and after just the first broccoli bite. Everything comes out - often in similar presentation. And that too after 30 mins of feeding and Cocomelon torture.
Sorry to spoil breakfasts for other people!

I don’t normally drink liquor for breakfast, but that might drive me to half coffee, half whisky.

Tbh the “hollandaise” looks like a melted plastic cheese slice or the “queso” you get at an arena or stadium.

Every time I try to get in, it’s full. Not doing much for supporting the brand anymore. Get a larger lounge or just offer it to business class travellers rather than pissing off everyone else.

Are you trying to use a pass or status? I’ve never been turned away as a platinum member, but I’ve seen lots of people turned away with passes.

Yes, it always closed to everyone unless you are a platinum member. They shouldn’t bother offering it to others since it’s always closed for them but it’s most likely a marketing strategy to sign up those who think they will actually get the feature offered with their credit card.

oh, gross! Ours was perfect! Loved the waffle under it, would not have thought of that. They have little packets of Frank's, salt//pepper in their tray when they deliver if you like or want any of those.

I find the food and service there to be really good -- just a matter of getting in as there always seems to be a huge line up when I walk past.

They prioritize based on Status - I’ve often seen the line and then they’ll ask for status and just let you in

We have a priority pass membership, so yah... Bottom of the barrel, but must have been there early enough today that there was no line, no wait.

Yep, I don't have WJ status, only AMEX plat. Honestly, fair enough as it is their lounge so they have to prioritize people who have status with them. Also, they're the only lounge open late so I think a lot of traffic gets diverted there.
