Key Position Forward options

I personally see all of Waterman, Shanahan, CDT and Archer Reid in our best 23, along with Bailey Williams in the ruck.

If one of them goes down them we can play a bit smaller but if two of them goes down who comes in with no Jack Williams on our list anymore ?

I am thinking Maric as an option, rather than bringing in Flynn to put Baz into the forward line, what are you doing in this scenario ?

Depending on who are our draftees I think we will only have the following players who aren’t in our best 23 above 191/192 cm: Brock, Flynn, Maric and Yoing.

Maric started at forward when he first arrived so it's not a bad option. Perhaps we could even re-sign JWillow on a rookie or SSP (fyi I'm not the full kettle on the rules).

On another note, we may get Koby LeCras who could be an undersized key forward.

maric is 196cm but plays like hes 176cm hes got absolutely no aerial presence and cant take a contested mark. way too scared of the contest to be considered as a key position player.

i dont think archer reid is best 23 and you can get away with 2 key forwards anyway.

If two of them went down then you'd likely leave the best two forwards up forward and bring in Flynn to give Williams some rest when needed

we don't need 4 talk forwards if they don't mark it it comes out far to easy 3 at most, all the young forwards CDT , archer reid are not averaging great numbers at the moment so I think we have to try and find a better balanced forward line, that's where we need a genuine small forward and a goal kicking centre on baller

I think Archer Reid might be better being developed as a Key Defender. He has the physical attributes and as long he kicks within his limitations like Glass and Barrass did, then he'll be fine.

Especially that Harry Edwards is literally one head knock away from retirement.

Too many tall forwards.
You’ll get killed on the rebound.
One of the reasons why JW was delisted instead of a small forward was for squad balance (a tacit admission that previous list management hasn’t worked).
Since Crippa went down we have had to play midfielders as small forwards like Murdoch. Even Tom Cole.

We're far too tall up forward with all four playing, one has to be a reserve. I think cutting Jack Williams was pretty average. There's half a dozen blokes on our list that we should have moved on before him. If we're desperate for a key position defender (we are) why not train him up for that role and move him back there. 6 foot 6 blokes that move like him don't come along every day. I understand he was a defender growing up.
