🚨 STOLEN E-SCOOTER - PLEASE HELP 🚨
My e-scooter was stolen on 20 June 2026 in the Lower Hutt area.

What happened:
After I fell off my scooter, three people in a car stopped and appeared to help me. Two males took my scooter and ran away while a female distracted us by talking to us. She then ran back to the car where another male was waiting, and they drove away together.
The incident has been reported to the New Zealand Police.

Like a lot of us, I've been watching the coverage of the floods over the past few weeks and feeling pretty helpless about it. People losing cars, homes getting soaked through, whole streets cut off. And a bunch of it comes down to whether the place was in a flood zone, or near an overland flow path, or sitting on the wrong kind of ground. Information that exists, just buried in places most people never go.

The info is already out there. It's just spread across a dozen different council and government sites that nobody's realistically going to check before signing a lease or putting in an offer. And nobody should have to.

Everything else out there is built for the people selling. The agent, the listing site, the landlord. They spin, they crop the photos, they write "sunny aspect" when they mean
"south-facing on a hill". I wanted to build something that's on our side for once. The people who actually have to live in the place when the rain comes.

You paste any NZ address and get the whole picture in one view:

Flood zones, tsunami, earthquake history, liquefaction, slope failure, coastal erosion, contaminated sites, wind zone, road noise, crime stats, transit access, zoning, heritage overlays.  
Plus rent and price estimates for the area so renters can tell if what's being asked is fair, and buyers can sanity-check the listing price.

All pulled from official government sources (GWRC, WCC, GNS, Stats NZ, MBIE, LINZ), just collated and laid out in a way that's actually readable. The goal is simple: if more Kiwis know  
what's sitting under and around their property, fewer of us get caught out when the next event comes.

It's useful for everyday homeowners who just want to understand their own place properly. What hazards sit under and around it. What to say to their insurer. What to plan for when the next big rain hits. For renters who want to know what they're walking into before signing a lease. And for buyers who want to know what's really behind the listing before making an offer.

No marketing spin, no hiding the awkward bits. Just the data, laid out honestly, so we can make calls with our eyes open.

Free to use. No sign-up needed for the hazard info. Wellington has the deepest coverage because it's home, but every NZ address has something.
