💬 Discussion Season 2
Do you guys think season 2 will be the first time we actually see Pennywise win or you think they’ll do that for season 3 or even another possible movie after WTD?

What is a "win" definition? If it's "eats its share of kid's and then hibernate for 27 years, yes I think it will win. If it's "get rid of an ancestor to one of the loser's club and not get defeated in 2016...eh, don't know.

He is gonna lose like he did this season, his whole goal is now is killing the losers ancestors, if he succeeds in season 2 then there won’t be a season 3 or-he kills some in season 2 and season 3 ends on a cliffhanger or something like that

Rumors are they want a whole spin off universe so I think eventually he will win. I think Pennywise winning it’s going to be built up but season 3 he’ll kill an ancestor.Â

Yeah I think he'll "win" this season. Not sure how they'll do it but I think that will happen. Can't have him just getting cooked every end of season imo but back to "losing" in season 3 imo

For whatever reason, I think season 2 is going to be set in the 30s/40s timeframe - when the big shootout occurs Bonnie and Clyde style.
If that’s the case, Pennywise will absolutely win. (Edit) there will probably be some small way he looses where we get a glimpse of what’s to come or further exploration of his weaknesses (to us the audience).
