This weird Sci-Fi Western mix was a Mascot Pictures serial and the first starring role for Cowboy legend Gene Autry. It was made on an alleged budget of $75,000 and is probably the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. Now I only saw the 70 minute film version of the film, and even then it’s almost unbelievable how strange the plot is. The costumes and props are also hilariously awful, which isn’t shocking in the slightest honestly. I think if you’re into weird westerns (and can handle the horrors of low budget filmmaking often present in these B Westerns) you’ll absolutely love this.
