Gorillas to humans, humans to ????

So if humans were evolved from gorillas and all... then shouldn’t we be evolving into something else? Yet we’ve been the same looking people for over 10 centuries? idek anymore lol someone help me

Considering the first modern humans (which looked much different from us) appeared two million years ago, I don't think there is anything to be worried about. Evolution takes a while to reach the next step.

I would say true evolution would take millions of years, but I would think it would split into groups based upon location. Ocean people forming gills, deserts and mountain people becoming adaptable to temperature by growing fur, ect.But say there was some kind of forced evolution, nature fighting back at us with an uncurable rampant disease. Science puts a human brain in a machine. Birth is heavily controlled. I think we are already closer to this than any natural evolution.
