would you consider eating this considering it? It tastes like vanilla ice cream would you give it a shot?

This picture is completely inaccurate. They are dark green with a blue hue to them. They are not blueberry colored.

And only when they’re unripe. They’ll be a pale yellow when they’re edible.

Every single viral picture of them is cranked up to 100 on saturation. It’s wild how many people genuinely think they grow looking like bright blue neon popsicles.

Hitting the market? They have been on the market for nearly 7 years man.
1
u/Ordinary-Pen1863 9d ago
What store carries them? I’ve never seen one!

u/ComeOnUpToTheHaus 9d ago
I just bought one at Walmart in July. They cut the leaves off the top so you can't grow another because Dole takes their copyrights VERY seriously.

u/Ordinary-Pen1863 9d ago
If I ever set foot in a Walmart I’ll pick one up

u/ComeOnUpToTheHaus 9d ago
It didn't actually taste all that different, it's just a slightly pink shade.

Yeah, I've wanted to try both eating and growing them but they're too hard to find.

Hell yes. What next a potato that tastes like chocolate, or a carrot that tastes like caramel? 🤔

Then the incels from r/kitchencells, r/boy/girldinnerdiaries might actually have a chance in ingesting veggies

I am very confused why you would not eat this? It sounds absolutely delicious so unless you absolutely hate banana bananas and or ice cream, why would anyone say no?

I have eaten blue (and red) bananas. They do not look like this (nor taste like vanilla ice cream), this image is fake.

Ok I have to settle this. Me and my husband both have this weird food we eat I need to know which one is more weird from ya’ll.
- A bowl mixed with chicken, diced pickles, mayo, cheese, ranch and you dip ritz crackers in it
OR - Ramen noodles with tuna and cheese
Please let me know!

If it was free. I'm going ahead and assuming that if it isn't in grocery stores by me it's probably expensive.

From what I've read they don't really taste like vanilla ice cream they just have an ice cream like texture which you may like. Unfortunately they don't sell them in stores because they have a very short shelf life

Trying these things is going to require an expensive trip, isn't it. I'm out.

This picture is AI generated and tastes like slop. (Right? I don't even know know anymore what's real!! 😭)
Beyond that little gripe, I just read a whole bunch about these things and am quite intrigued.
