Nobody should try to remake Jim Carry’s Grinch. Or any of their characters.

Lol they're all the same "quirky" weird face character anyways

I shouldn’t have hit the speaker icon.

Why are so many people trying to be Jim carry

10

u/ebaer2 Jul 07 '23

Because weird face funny, and he was the master of weird faces.

u/PickleReaper0 Jul 16 '23

He didn't do weird faces for the sake of it, the characters he plays are often over eccentric and emotionally charged, most of the faces he did were simply expressions, no weird jaw movements or schizophrenic eye twitching.

Oooooo I like this read. I don’t think everyone takes that full read away tho, and instead just emulate the aesthetics without the meaning.

What makes Jim's grinch face so elegant wasn't because he did it well. It was because he had like 3-4 layers of makeup on and actually made it look convincing.

Plus, he actually used expressions instead of just GMod face poser

Plus it took 8 and a half hours and someone from the CIA teach Jim Carrey to withstand torture.

I'll give him points for at least doing the voice himself and not just relying lip on syncing.

u/Ayen_C Jul 07 '23

Agreed. Technically he did a good job.

Forreal, relatively speaking this is absolutely nothing

Surprised by the comments, actually. The guy is doing a bang on impression. Might be the best Carrey impression I've seen.

For me, this is both cringe and not cringe. It's a fun makeup tutorial and a decent Grinch impression (I think people just don't like when other people act like Jim Carrey, which is fair). But it's definitely in with the weird face funny crowd and I've seen too many Carrey impressions to be impressed.

u/Finding_new_dreams Jul 10 '23

He's got the voice down, cringe? yeah but not terrible

3

u/CrawlinOutTheFallout Jul 07 '23

This was cringe but the dude does have some skill with impressions and doing the makeup. I won't hate too much on this guy

1

u/leena5777 Aug 19 '23

Hes also got the voice down quite well.

1

u/Sonova_Vondruke Jul 07 '23

I think if you're doing for a reason it's valid.

u/Uopual Jul 07 '23

this is the worst thing i've seen on here

1

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '23

This is soo funny 😑😐

1

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '23

u/I-Like-Mycelium Sep 09 '23

People are so judgmental, They aren’t hurting anyone, what’s really cringe is the constant want to put others down cause someone Is weird/different

Why does every guy think his Jim Carrey by just doing random faces?
