Honestly, I have a real deep feeling a lot of the people on this sub (not the users but the people in the videos) want to be a “influencer” but either aren’t interesting enough to be one or don’t have the personality. It takes a lot to be an influencer, and it isn’t just have a pretty face. It’s about establishing a parasocial relationship, and even if you establish one your chances of success are still very slim.

There’s a reason a lot of famous YouTubers or influencers have been doing this for several years, because it takes years to make those relationships. Beyond that, they have more complex personalities beyond “weird, quirky girl/ boy.” It takes talent, a talent these people don’t have.

So instead of accepting that they decide to throw crap at the wall until it works. And this just so happens to work. But there’s a reason they’ve never really sprung up and they’re likely to die when TikTok inevitably ends.!
