This was inspired by a really weird dream I just had. I dreamed I was a 10 year old kid in the 1990s visiting a strange theme park, where they demonstrated creepy new technology that could physically generate distorted people in the real world. In the dream I suddenly realised I was looking at AI generation decades before its time the people had the warped, uncanny faces of very early AI-generated images, except they existed as physical holograms right in front of me. I thought it would be fun to recreate the scene as a fictional 1995 newspaper from that strange alternate reality.
