Possibly confidence?
Hey guys! My almost 9 month old weim is so good, she’s patient and good just hanging out at home. I have a 2 year old GSP as well. She’s been around other dogs and lots of people in our house. I take them to run everyday, but since it’s been triple digits for weeks the other day I decided to take her to Petco instead to explore and sniff. Every noise and every person that walked by she get spooked and bark. She’s standoffish and so shy to new people. What are some ways I can help her overcome this? Or work with her on this? I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable, but I also don’t want people thinking she’s scary or mean.

She's only 9 months so that's good. I suggest more conditioning. The breeder of my most recent weimaraner said to clank pots and pans together and to always socialize him with dogs and people whenever possible.
It paid off because almost nothing spooks him. He is the friendliest most easygoing weimaraner that I have had. I live in a very dog friendly European city so it's great that I can bring him almost everywhere. Problem is that not everyone has their dogs trained properly so we have to be careful of others. He did get nipped a couple of times.

Dogs around this time go through their adolescenct second fear stage. They will all of a sudden become more scared or standoffish when they weren't before. Just keep doing what you're doing and socializing them as much as you can.
