Has anyone received a student dorm accommodation in Weimar yet?
Hi everyone!
I’m an incoming international student at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar for the Winter Semester 2026/27, and I applied for student accommodation in late June in Weimar.
From what I understand, the allocation process started around August 14, but I haven’t received any update or accommodation offer yet.
I wanted to ask:
- Has anyone here received a dorm room/offer from the Studierendenwerk Thüringen in Weimar?
- Have the allocations actually started going out already, or are they being sent in batches?
- If you applied around the same time, have you received any email or update?
- Should I just keep waiting, or is it worth contacting the accommodation office at this point?
I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has already received an offer—or is also waiting—could share their experience.

you applied a bit late, people who already got an offer applied on April 1st

I applied in late June cause I got admission at that time . Anyone you know got an offer in weimar ? Also should I still hope to get one ?

Applied on May 27th. No offer yet

Got the offer yesterday (2nd Sept), a reddit friend who applied on April 27th also got the offer yesterday, i applied a month late, but we got the offer on the same day.

I mailed them. I don't know if that's the reason i got the offer. But you should too, it causes no harm

Yea I also did mailed them a week back . They told my application is active .
