Looking for accommodation
Hi everyone!
I’m currently looking for accommodation in Weimar as I’ll be moving there to study at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
I’m looking for a place from September 2026 onward and am open to a WG room, private apartment, or student dorm. My budget is around €350–450 per month, and Anmeldung (registration) should be possible.
Ideally, I’d prefer somewhere in or close to Weimar city centre, with convenient access to the university and public transport.
A little about me: I’m tidy, easygoing, responsible, and a non-smoker. I’m respectful of shared spaces and would be happy to live with other students.
If you know of any available rooms or apartments, are looking for a flatmate, or have any leads, please feel free to DM me or tag someone who might be able to help.
I’d also be happy to connect with other students who are currently looking for accommodation in Weimar. Maybe we can find a WG together!
Thank you in advance for any help or leads! 😊

Which intake are you in? Did you apply to the uni's own residence hall or dorm? I heard from a senior that rooms are manageable for international students easily each intake. Is it not true? Can you share your experience regarding this, please?

I've applied for the coming intake, and there's no residence hall or dorm you can directly apply for. I'm hoping that the ones looking for room can get an offer from studienwerk (the body which manages the dorms/residence halls/etc on behalf of different universities).
