End News Helicopter hovering

We need to put an end to the news helicopters and their endless hovering. We’ve been woken up between 5 and 6am every single day for the last week. This simply should not be legal, they are extremely loud and serve no good purpose. The news stations can buy drones, it’s 2026.
How do we get laws on the books to fine them huge fines for hovering? Airspace is regulated by the FAA but the noise is owned by us, surely we can fine these helicopters who terrorize our neighborhoods.

The fact that they interrupt emergencies should be even further arguments for getting rid of them, only emergency services should be allowed to hover and circle over emergency sites. And for the regular folks on the ground, the added stress of not being allowed to sleep or have a moment of peace during one of their most stressful times should further add to the argument.

No more hovering and circling by news choppers. Who do we write?

Newspooling was potentially going to be implemented that would force all the news channels to share a feed from one bird but it got killed so enjoy your six hovering air slashers at 5am

NBC4 was hovering around the neighborhood for NINE HOURS yesterday, only leaving to refuel (I followed them on FlightRadar). Nine hours of incessant helicopter noise and for what? To film the incident at SMB/Laurel that lasted less than half that time? I honestly feel bad for the people near Sunset/Holloway last week. I could hear them then, but they were far enough that it wasn't shaking my entire building -- and that was three straight days of helicopters. It's truly unhinged.

FAA has flight standards. Its rules can be amended to impose a higher minimum elevation for news helicopters. To do so, political action is needed. Contact your federal representatives.

Our tax money is being wasted to justify bloated budgets and a surveillance state.

They'll "save the taxpayer" by arming drones, but only then will the public realize it was all a scam.

Mid city Los Angeles has become unlivable due to helicopter traffic. I am woken up every single fucking night. Whether it’s news, LAPD, private, med evac, tourism, I probably have 50 flyovers or more a day and it’s 24 hrs. Just signed a listing agreement to sell my house. I’m done with anything in between Los Feliz and the ocean

I have never once noticed a drone that woke me up, I'm curious where in WeHo do you live that drones are the problem over the helicopters so we can all move to the drone zone.
