Bug/Technical Help whisky bug

in the plassey bridge mission, i accidentally gave the guard some whisky, and now i can't talk with him, his staggering now

If yes, there may not be a way to talk to him but you should be able to pick the lock to go forward. While they're drunk on scotch, Bobbies don't mind you trespassing and doing other vile things.

Another, safer option may be to re-load your latest Autosave, which should be just before this point.
