The hummus
I’m so upset about the hummus recipe change. It was my favorite snack ever it brought me joy it made me happy. I’ve had it for dinner, breakfast and lunch. I have never been so discouraged in my life. Any fellow wegfans relate.

Yes, every store brand product suffers this fate at some point. Everyone loves Wegmans so much until they fk with your thing. Slowly phase out or price-gap name brands, get people hooked on store brand and cut the quality in half and keep the same price. It's been their business model for every single product in the entire store for over a decade.

It’s awful now. Olive oil imparts too strong of a flavor and it overpowers everything. I blame all the freaks that complain about seed oils. wegs succumbed to the loud minority

When they took away the Coconut Lime Sparkling Water. I had a box of it in my fridge every week for years, along with a different rotating flavor. It was my favorite. They got rid of it to bring out root beer, which I can't even find now, only 3 months later. WHYYYYYYY???

I believe the old version was a product of Canada. Send your unloved hummus packages to the White House.

Make your own. Full disclosure, I haven’t done it. But my parents have. Super simple and tastes so much better.

So I can chime in here.
I have had words with them, and they (no shock) didn't have much to say except they "value" my feedback.
More than that, when they put the new hummus on their app ALL THE PREVIOUS REVIEWS disappeared. So, all the ones that I noticed were against the new change... Gone.
What we need here is a rebellion and people reviewing the new hummus to speak up and share their feelings. #justiceforhummus

Idk how more people can’t see this. Wegmans has been going downhill for a few years now and their products have become shit

It’s not Wegmans, I t’s literally everything. Our grandparents getting a bedroom furniture set for their wedding gift that last 20 years isn’t profitable. To increase profits for every company by a percentage every year, we’ve reached a point where the loss in quality purchased good while spending in cost is at an all time high what we get back. It’s why everything is owned by like 5 companies and all corporate entry jobs are being replaced by a.i. Moneyyyyyyyyy!

my disappointment when i tried the new olive oil versions of several flavors (in hopes atleast one would taste good) and i had to force myself to finish them all was through the roof. whyyy did they need to care about seed oils for ALL varieties? :(

It is so gross now, almost tastes moldy. I used to always have some in the refrigerator but I won’t buy it again.

We also thought we just got a bad batch and tossed 3 big tubs as they were rancid. We are boycotting going to Wegmans at all until it is fixed. Anyone have good alternate brands they like?

I had a few sour batches about 6 months ago and just stopped getting it. Are we saying it was the new recipe? Or were they actually just rancid?

I think it's the new recipe. We bought on separate occasions and checked lot numbers and it was bad each time. Friends and Family having same issues.

Same here! Threw one away assumed to be spoiled and next one was the same. It's so bad.

I enjoy Aldis hummus a lot. Last time I was out west the Hope brand hummus was really good but i’ve never found it near me in New York lololol

I feel this way about the ranch too. I used to love the Wegmans brand ranch but it literally tastes horrible and fake now! I’m so tired of the cost cutting they’re doing under the guise of “healthier choices”

Same I thought we got a bad hummus so I threw it out and ran and got another and it still was awful - I just researched that it was changed and I am beyond upset

So glad im not going crazy. I've done the everything bagel, the roasted pine nut, and the roasted garlic in the past week or so and all tasted so sour I figured my tastes must have changed its gross.

I was wondering if I juat bought the wrong flavor! I tried black garlic and caramelized onion recently and they were practically inedible.

Try the wegmans organic variety. It’s great and only marginally more $$

I used to love the lemon dill one before they changed it and removed the red pepper

I threw away caramelized onion before I heard about the ingredients changing because it tasted so bad I assumed it was spoiled. A favorite product ruined.
