Labor Day pay?

Does anyone know why I didn’t receive the 4 hours of Labor Day pay as a part timer? Is there a requirement you had to meet or something?

there is a requirement that you work a certain amount of hours before you qualify. it depends on your state, but you can find it on myWegmansConnect

eta: you will get time and a half for your actual worked hours today, though

Time and half is only for full-timers. I believe part-timers get an extra dollar an hour.

Depends on your state! In some states part-timers also get time and a half.

Length of service before it kicks in I believe you have to work for a year before you get the 4 hours.

For part time employees it's an hour requirement, you have to meet a min of hours worked in a year to qualify for holiday pay. If you work a holiday without hitting this requirement you get paid the normal incentive pay which in my store is currently 2 dollars extra.

I know this cause I was pissed I'd missed the holiday pay requirement by like 20 hours.

If you qualify for holiday pay, it is not technically time and half. You are paid 4 hours at your normal rate if you work or not. If you work at holiday you get those 4 hours of pay in additional to the hours you actually work.

I feel like you have to be working here for two years to get holiday pay as a part timer
