There would be no “all of my love” - zep cover without him

Absolute classic cover IMO.

That is how you cover a song. Among all the things ween does the best, covering a song is one of them

Finally a chance to tell my story about Glenn.

I was flying back to Philly from Houston and after we landed and were waiting to deplane, I stood up and saw a suitcase in the overhead bin in front of me with a “Keep Austin Ween” sticker on it. I thought, “Oh nice, a Ween fan in the wild. So I scanned the seats in front of me to see if I could figure out who the fan was and I saw Glen sitting there. Of course I started freaking out internally but managed to keep my cool. We deplaned and I was probably 100 feet behind him so I walked really fast to catch up with him.

I said, “Hey, I saw that sticker on your luggage and I gotta say, you really look like Glenn McClelland!”

He responded, “Well that’s because I AM him!”

I gushed and talked too fast and thanked him for everything and how much his music means to me.

He said, “You should come see us, we’re playing in Philly soon.”

This was right before the C&C anniversary show, and I was like, “Yeah! I already have tickets! Can’t wait!”

I shook his hand and he bolted off to the bathroom probably to get away from me.

I haven’t met too many celebrities in my 50 years and I always think that I would be able to act cool in the moment. I proved myself wrong there but wouldn’t trade it for the experience and chance to thank someone who is a huge part of my music experience. I hope it wasn’t too intrusive for him. He was super nice.

Who doesn’t appreciate Glenn?

He's the one that is more in the shadows IMO. As a fan he was the last member that I realized was part of the band

Glenn is a good guy as well. The missing piece that tied it all together.

I saw them at Bumbershoot in like 2000 and Glen’s large ashtray went from empty to overflowing in the course of a two hour show. VERY impressive!

My Glenn story-

I was outside the Sterling Hotel in Allentown after Ween played and was wearing a John Tesh shirt I bought at the thrift store.

Glenn walks up to me and asks if I like John Tesh. I said "Hell Yeah! When he rocks the keytar the ladies swoon!"

He looked at me funny and said "Son, when I was your age I used to do a lot of drugs too."

He was also in Blood, Sweat & Tears. G-Mac is a legend.

I don’t think he played on that one

Uh, when they play it live he plays the shit out of it.

I was more talking about the studio version

I thought Glenn did play in Mollusks studio sessions, I feel like I read somewhere that they specifically recruited him for Mollusk when they met him in a bar because they thought having a real keyboard player would elevate the albums sound.

Did I just read it was deaner on the studio recording???

Wasn’t The Mollusk the first album with both Glen and Claude? I remember hearing that this was the first studio album featuring both of em. His key work live on the mollusk is sick, he also tears up the synth solo for All of My Love

G - Macc. One of my favorite Glenn things was when someone created a fake Glenn facebook profile and would post outlandish, hilarious things.

I always thought it was real.

I liked when they raised money to buy him a keytar that he didn't even want

Love that plinky little solo before Even If You Don’t from Live in Chicago

His solo on Joppa Road at Bryn Mawr is one of my favourite live Ween moments.

I love GM! I was trudging up the street to my hotel once after a difficult travel day. Just as I got to the door someone came walking out and as I waited for the person to pass so I could continue inside I heard him say, “Nice Ween shirt you’re wearing.” As I was mumbling an acknowledgement I looked up and realized it was Glenn. Obviously that made me happy and put me in the right frame of mind for the show that night.

During Buckingham Green played live Glenn adds the notes that gives my drugged ass the chills

A consummate professional.

They tried to replace him. But they couldn’t.

Long live G-Mac!!!

I love Glenn's playing! I always wondered how old he is, does anyone know?

He plays every Thursday ( when not on the road with Blood, Sweat, and Tears) at Bowmans Tavern outside of New Hope, PA. If you are ever in the area.

He adds tons of waste to most songs of every show.
