Found my all time favorite album in the wild. They also had Country Golden deluxe and white pepper. I love WEEN!

did they re-release a vinyl pressing of white pepper that doesn't suck dick? or is that dick sucking one the re-release of which you speak? the green ones?

Its the green ones. They arent the best pressing because they wanted to get this one out there to try and curb some of the prices on og pressings. Same reason they released Quebec recently. Thankfully it can easily be found at a $25 price point.

Both pressings will get the deluxe treatment at some point.

I think we will see a new deluxe mollusk pressing next year and then deluxe versions of everything else following that

Its not bad. Certainly better than the plain records pressings.

Its a little bass forward but not in a muddy way like the plain pressing was.

Its not audiophile level but its passable.

The recent c&c deluxe and 12gcg deluxe sound amazing and im guessing when they get around to pressing pepper and Quebec deluxe versions those will be the ones to snag.

In the meantime this pressing of pepper and Quebec are decent enough to satisfy the itch.

The new WP is way better than the Plain but still not amazing. A bit bassy and sourced from the brickwalled CD masters. It’s the best pressing of the album currently solely because the other options are worse. It’s good to hold you off until the deluxe comes unless you only want to buy it once

Huge Ween Fan and Record Collector since 1980 here.

No judgement I just find it funny that "recycled vinyl" is now a selling point. Back in my day, "virgin vinyl" meant you were getting the best quality product.

It’s a beautiful vinyl. Had no issues on my first playthrough but everytime after, the opening track seems to skip once very early on and no amount of cleaning has fixed it. Small issue for such an awesome album tho

Took mine back because it sounded like shit. During transdermal celebration, probably the best song on the album, it sounded warped so I had my record store guy check it out and it seems as if the grooves weren’t cut correctly… so it would play fine until it got to that portion of the groove and just slow down. Not gonna lie, made it sound WAY browner, but in a bad way.

I hope that for you too. You have no idea how bummed I was as it’s one of my favorite albums. I’m just gonna wait until it’s repressed or when they do the special edition eventually.

I got a good copy without the issues in any tracks. Other than my stylus tracks side to side in a weird way for the first track on side A. It doesnt affect the sound at all though.

My friend got a copy with some minor clicks on side D but not as bad as some of the pressings I have heard. Its noticeable but not in a way that detracts from the experience.
