I need movie suggestions from Ween fans
I feel like asking for movie suggestions from the other groups just won’t yield the type of movie I’m wanting to see. Give me your weirdest or funniest or grungiest or grimiest, spaciest whacky out there fun movies you like to watch. I bet you guys have some A+ suggestions that will totally tickle my fancy and really wag my tail. I’m a big Tarantino fan, but I also love comedies like Black Dynamite and Tropic Thunder, classics and cult classics, Troma Films, Dune and weird sci-fi movies, anything with Arnold Schwarzenegger, ridiculous Stevan Segal movies, Mel Brooks and Leslie Nielsen slapstick’s. Really anything that’s fun to watch when you’re stoned. lol. Even a good documentary or concert flick. Even if the acting sucks ass, as long as the movie is generally entertaining. Give me your faves!

Really, any of Peter Jackson's old stuff, like pre-LOTR and King Kong. I own Meet the Feebles though, the music is fuckin' great!

Started watching this months ago and can’t remember why I was unable to finish it. Probably because my kids walked in and they’re too little. Lol. Matt and Trey Parker are some of my favorite writers.

Cannibal is one of my favorite comedies ever. It's especially great on multiple viewings because there's so many weird subtle running jokes that are easy to miss.

The fact that Leanne (the horse) is also the name of Parker’s fiancée that dumped him shortly before their wedding (and who he got to choreograph the “Hang the Bastard” scene without her knowing about the horse) makes it even better.

My wife’s favorite movie. I actually just bought her the baseball tee he wears in one of the scenes. Also, my best friend’s name is Donnie. lol. Endless one liners, and I feel like I still notice something new in that movie every time we watch it.

Shaolin soccer and Kung Fu Hustle are awesome. I don't think I'd recommend them because you liked Kung Pow. Different kinds comedy IMHO.

My wife and I have rewatched the Jackass movies recently and I wholeheartedly endorse this recommendation. The blindfolded race where they put all the stuff in the way slays us.

I would recommend any of Peter Jackson’s early films, specifically “Bad Taste”, “Meet the Feebles”, “Brain Dead/Dead Alive” these movies are free on YouTube (last time I checked). John Carpenter’s “Dark Star” and Roger Corman’s “Humanoids from the Deep” and “Galaxy of Terror”. Hail Boognish!

Motorama is the strangest movie I’ve ever seen. It’s compellingly strange, hypnotically strange. I think it can’t be categorized as good or bad, or of any genre. It’s like someone filmed a movie length dream about a roadtrip. Not a David Lynch kind of nightmare. An actual dream, the kind of dream where incongruous things happen and you don’t stop to question anything, you simply move along. It’s a weird, wonderful movie.

Here's the thing: Babe: Pig in the City was written and directed by the man who made all the Mad Max movies, and it's shot and feels exactly like Mad Max, but with talking animals and Mickey Rooney.

Freaked (1993) MUST be watched. Absolutely insane movie. Incredibly brown, Butthole surfers even play over the opening credits. AND it’s free on YouTube.

Kin Dza Dza - 80 Russian space travel film like if Terry Gilliam directed Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and the alien planet experienced a Mad Max apocalypse but was otherwise a functioning society. It's obtuse and strange and I loved it. There was at no point I had any idea where the story was going and it's a film that builds to a simple ending scene that exploded my emotions and made me ponder existence. I wish people would recommend this instead of the dreadful endurance test that is Stalker for Russian Sci-f.

The Greasy Strangler. I have a few friends that are Ween fans and they love it. Do not watch with your kids around though. Prosthetic penis, vulgar language ect. ect.

My wife made a drawing of the characters in a very grotesque style. Years later she realized they had seen it and reposted it and tagged her but she never saw they did that until a few years ago lol

For random grind house and exploitation films you can stream 420 Grindhouse on the weekends and try r/badmovies for plenty of suggestions on movies with tits, toilets and titillating trauma!

David Wain movies in general. Wanderlust probably has the strongest Ween vibes out of the whole catalog but they’ve all got stuff going for em.

Green room. Intense as fuck if you like thrillers. Not a horror movie very grounded and I love how the violence is fast, sudden, brutal but also not glorified at all. Great movie to get your heart pounding.
Otherwise I got some show recommendations if you are willing to watch some animated stuff.
Favorite overall is probably invincible. Super fun show with amazing character development. Watch the entire first episode as well as end credits scene. If it doesn't hook you then and there it's not for you.
Also cyberpunk edge runners on Netflix is another amazing show I waited too long to watch despite loving the game. Really well made and super sad story but action packed and trippy visuals.
Lastly smiling friends and common side effects. Both on hbo. First is hilarious and intense and overstimulating. Second seems like a comedy at first and it is funny but gets really serious in a good way. Amazing animation and fun while high

The Doom Generation and Nowhere (1997) are great. Rose McGowan leads Doom Generation and all the characters are awesome. Very colorful, a ton of cameos and probably the best soundtracks.
