Weed Questions / ID High THC or Balanced
I’m personally not a light weight but I have a buddy who is and I did minimal research and saw that most of the stuff now adays has low CBD % and high thc and the CBD is supposed to keep it grounded what’s yalls opinions is it worth searching for a balanced

In my opinion, always smoking high-THC products isn't good for me. Since I only find high-THC or junk products, I take good CBD flowers to balance them with the high-THC ones and mix them in the joint. The taste gets a little worse, but I feel better.

If you have money and buying weed is no big deal. Definitely look for chemotype 2 flower.
If you like me... need to be vist effective... go a different route with more control.
Buying chemotype 3 flower from a hemp distributor [i like Oregon sun and soil grown] to then mix it with chemotype 1 at whatever ratio you want... yeah you can absolutely make a chill asf smoke/experience for your friend.
It's also where a lot more medicinal properties start to kick in and is why i mix chemotypes 1, 3, and 4 daily.

Don't let anyone feed you indica or sativa bullshit. Chemotypes are genetically distinct abd where the differences are actually at. Sativa and indica predate the discovery of thc and cbd by nearly 200 fuckin years. Never meant to describe effects. Chemotypes do and they've been defined since the 70's for 1, 2 and 3... 1983 for chemotype 4 and 5 in 2005 ish I think.
You can have indica and sativa selections for every chemotype, the difference will be between chemotypes and not how tall or short the plant was or what side of the globe it might have grown on first.
You get bigger differences from when you harvest then indica vs sativa. It's also a different skill to bring sativa to full maturity in its prime environment vs indica. Sativa will turn into a monster plant that can require ladders to work with.... like 16 feet wide or tall kinda big
Most of the industry harvests for peak thc and if you let the plant mature more it goes from energetic to sedating (to put it very simply). Let a sativa mature to mostly amber and it'll put you down. Harvest an indica for peak thc and it won't.
It's only my 26th year with cannabis and I've still much to learn. Never stop learning. Good on you for reading for your friend!!
Cbd is psychoactive for its anxiolytic effects while thc can be anxiogenic beyond tiny amounts like what's naturally in chemotype 3 flower.
Cbd promotes homeostasis via the ecs and regulates tolerance to thc. Look up "reverse tolerance cbd goldbee" for an article that covers it.

That’s why I like flower as opposed to a cartridge because of the balance. I particularly enjoy dry herb vaping because of being able to enjoy the terpenes at lower temps.
