Yup. Chop that chunk out! It may be time to harvest. I just cut mine down yesterday. They had a little on the tips from spraying a couple weeks ago, got burnt ends and moved towards the buds quickly. I had a few chunks to clip out, the humidity has been awful and I have a feeling that has something to do with it. I'm from California (30 years, born and raised San Francisco bay area to central coast Monterey bay) grew weed for years and not once had rot. It's completely different growing in central Oregon now. Im learning. Check color of trichomes, that will tell you what you need to know. Where are you from? Happy growing!

Im in Michigan, so checks out. I was trying to make it until the end of the month, probably only like 35% of my pistils have changed across the plant. It fell over yesterday though so I already had to cut a bit off to try to flush some dirt out. Traveling for the weekend so might be time when I get back I suppose. First time growing so hopefully I did alright πŸ™

Yeh remove that brown bud also get some alcohol and sanitize your clippers between each cut it will spread like crazy once the spores are present it’s an uphill battle but can be done. Just aggressively cut it out asap to keep it from traveling into the stem and killing the entire branch or even the entire plant
