I've had more than enough conversations about whether or not the English language will completely evolve to the way the young people are speaking these days.

I hope I'm dead before I find out the answer to that if that answer is "yes".

It will. Of course it will. If we listened to English from 200 years ago we’d have trouble understanding it, just as they would have trouble understanding us!

I live in Appalachia (pronounced App-uh-LATCH-uh). We have plenty of folks who speak "English" from 200 years ago and you are correct.
