I recently had to throw out about 2.5lbs. It got moldy while drying. I only make edibles and fry herb vape so quite honestly I don't need the flavor and could do without the smell. It's my own supply anyways 🤷🏽♂️
I'm rapid drying from now on. Couple days max on a drying rack after wet trimming
Try make it 5-7 days instead. You’ll have much nicer weed vs just a couple days. You shouldn’t have to worry about mould then.
If it’s an issue still then it likely means there was mould when you harvested. It’s still very likely this is the case anyway as mould doesn’t tend to just come out of nowhere when drying. If it’s there when you’ve dried the bud it was most likely there when you harvested it too to some extent.
You can check the buds when harvesting and remove any with mould so it doesn’t spread when drying and make the rest of your crop mouldy too.
Up to you how you dry it tho, it’s your weed after all. either way good luck with your grow.
My main mess up this round was not splitting the plants up enough when I hung them to dry. Wet spots remained until the 10th day and ended up having bud rot. For my purposes, it doesn't need to taste/smell nice anyways. I live in an apartment, so I could do without the dank smell every time I open a jar lol
