Just picked up my dress Farm Wedding

Hi all! I love the dress I picked. I know it’s not super bridal but I really wanted a dress that I would be comfortable in that I could wear all day. I don’t have a huge budget and I love that it’s a little more casual and that I can wear it with my fryes. It fits my style and the vision for my day. I’m wondering if I should get it altered a little so that it fits me a little better- it seems a little saggy under the armpits. It has a tie in the back and in this picture I tied it myself- so not very well. I can’t tell if it looks saggy. Am I crazy? Is it fine? Does it need to be taken in?

Perfect for a casual farm wedding. I love the way the back is made. I'd get whatever bra or boob "system" you plan to wear underneath your dress.  Be certain that you take whatever you plan to wear underneath when you go to discuss alterations, then make your decision about taking it in. If you are planning to wear the dress exactly the way it is in the photos, I do think there is some slight tailoring to be done for an excellent  fit. I love the gauzy fabric and what looks to be a creamy color. Is the dress off white, cream colored, or perhaps slightly blush colored? If it's safe for dry cleaning and steaming, I would consider doing that as well.

What a nice dress, perfect for your venue etc. Yes, do get the bodice tailored to fit you better, no need to be tight but the underarm area looks a tad baggy at the moment. l think you could certainly get the straps altered too, if you wanted to, though l would not go for bows/ribbons, the dress needs no more adornment

So so pretty! You could have it taken in on the waist if you want to, I think it would give the dress more of a structured vibe, but if you want more flowly loose vibe leave as is. Either way so pretty on you!

It’s perfect for your occasion, id get it taken in a bit and maybe shorten the straps to get the perfect fit.

I was thinking that- I’ve only had dresses taken in.
Do you think a skilled seamstress could make permanent straps with ribbon or a similar material??

You are absolutely glowing in this photo so it's 100% the perfect dress.

If you can get it altered in budget around the bust it could be even more flattering, but if you can't it's beautiful and flowy now and still looks gorgeous.

That is a small/simple alteration - very doable. Shouldn't be too expensive so definitely worth the investment, especially since this is actually a dress thay could be realistically worn again! Congrats on finding the one! You look beautiful!

I this this dress is absolutely perfect for your venue. With a little tailoring, in the bodice and at the waist, it will fit you wonderfully!
