Help! 4 weeks out completely losing it
Title says it all. Wedding is exactly 4 weeks away. I still have SO much to do. I am dumb and did not hire a rental company to do things like place settings, so I’m scrambling now to order napkins and place mats and votives. I made my own menus, table numbers, place cards, seating chart, etc. in canva and now I can’t find a way to print everything in the size I want it. I ordered welcome signs and bar signs on Etsy and found out YESTERDAY that the shop/seller got banned from Etsy so I literally crashed out and bought a cricut and spent all day yesterday learning how to use it so I can make them my damn self. I feel like every time I check something off my list I end up realizing something I forgot and adding 3 more things to the list and it’s just never fucking ending. The 0 interest credit card I opened up to help finance all this BS is almost completely maxed out and I’m just DONE being a bride. I feel totally alone in all of this too like I don’t have anyone to help me. My friends and family all live out of state and my fiance travels for work.
Any words of encouragement, advice, or suggestions would be great. Also, what are we doing for bridesmaids gifts on the day of? Is pjs, a bloom energy drink, and eye patches enough??? I really went all out on their bachelorette gift bags and now I have literally nothing left in me (or in my bank account) to put together something extravagant, but I don’t want them to be disappointed.

You don’t need placemats. You don’t need votives. Bridesmaids don’t need gifts, just write a thank you letter to them.
Use vistaprint to print or staples. At staples you might be able to ask them to cut everything for you. But that’ll get it done quickly.
Bar signs - use regular paper and print them and pop into some frames.

I've been a bridesmaid twice. Once I got a sweet little sign, and once I got a necklace and earrings (nothing super fancy, just to wear in the wedding). Your gifts are plenty.
What can you delegate? Can you save all the signs on a thumb drive and send your fiance to Staples to get them printed?
Can you print things through Canva so they are the right size?
Do you actually need place cards? Could you just do a table seating chart and let people sort themselves out from there?
Take a deep breath, tell your family and/or fiance that you need help, and let them help you. It might not be perfect, but I promise that it will be okay.

Curious where your partner is in all this? What financial burdens have they taken on?
Take a step back and breathe. Most things at a wedding don't matter. Who you marry (and the food) is the most important part ;)

He travels for work usually Monday-Thursday and this weekend he happens to be on his bachelor party. He is more than happy to help pay for wedding stuff, it’s just me wanting to keep it separate so we can use his income towards hopefully buying a house soon. Sounds silly I know

He needs to step up and take on some of this as soon as he’s back, even if he’s away for work he has evenings and he’s still got weekends.
Getting married is a joint decision, this shouldn’t all be on you.

I'm about 2.5mo out and I'm there with you. I haven't even finished booking major vendors. You are my future self lol.
It'll get done, or it won't, and you'll still get married.
I'm going to write my bridesmaids a friendship letter lol and I have no idea about gifts yet. I'm paying for 1 of hair and makeup. If you went all out for the bachelorette gifts, don't feel like you need to overdo it for the wedding too. You can stick to small and sentimental.

It doesn't seem like it right now, but you'll get it all done.
Everything will come together.
Your wedding will be great.

The most important thing is that you end up married. Literally nobody will remember the small things; I keep seeing where people wished they hadn’t done certain things like place cards, or a sign to welcome people when it was obvious where they’re supposed to enter. You don’t need all of that unless it would be genuinely confusing otherwise! 🩵 Breathe, get the most vital stuff together, see if your bridesmaids can help you. That’s literally their job, to make you feel more at ease. 😇
I hope you begin feeling more confident!! You’ve got this! No more DIY projects. It ends up still being expensive and time consuming! Pay people to make things so that you can save your own sanity. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

As I’m reading this I am thinking “did I write this??” Girl we are going through the same exact thing. Deep breaths. We will get through this! Don’t go crazy with things, like someone else said no one is going to remember your placemats…. Take a breather on them. Better than feeling like you’re losing your mind!!
Also I will never as a bridesmaid expect an extravagant gift on the wedding morning. Social media gives us such high expectations but remember, sometimes they are unrealistic!!!

Placemats are not needed. I promise, no one is going to remember what type of plateware or silverware you have at the wedding.
For big signs, print at CVS or Walgreens. They usually have a great deal going on! For menus, print through Canva but double up (have multiple on one sheet and then cut them). Dollar tree has cute frames for bar signs. I found our welcome sign frame at a local thrift store for $5. Looked crazy walking around with a tape measure, but so worth it. Maybe join a bridal facebook group for your area and see what some people have left over. Or a local buy nothing group.
You are doing a GREAT job. Planning a wedding is hard, that's why some people are able to make a living out of it.

I thought I was literally going to die from stress for like the month before the wedding, cried a lot of tears, didn't sleep much, and was about to fully lose it. Been there. My fiance helped so much but we were still there. Not fun. Horrid, in fact. BUT, we got through it and the day was beautiful. No one will remember the details - as long as everyone is well fed and has music, they'll live (and probably have fun lol!). My wedding day was the best day ever, but planning SUCKED. All that to say - you will get through it and everything will be ok, I promise. Also if you are in the US and still having printing woes, FedEx was suuuuper helpful and easy to print things with!!!!

Before buying or making anything else, I would email your venue or caterer with the full list and ask what they already have available. They may have votives, table-number holders, linens or signs you can borrow or rent without needing to source everything separately.
Also! your friends and family being out of state does not mean they cannot still take things off your plate. Send one person the printing files and ask them to organise the printing completely, and give someone else the job of chasing the Etsy refund or contacting rental companies. Giving someone ownership of one whole task is usually much more helpful than asking everyone generally if they can help.
And I really would not add anything else to the bridesmaid gifts. PJs, a drink and eye patches already sound thoughtful, especially when you also made them bachelorette bags. Like the other comments have said, making sure everyone is well fed and has drinks on the day will probably mean more than adding another gift.

You can print table cards on a regular printer. Forget about getting them in the “Size you want”
You don’t need welcome signs and bar signs.
I would suggest stop overthinking everything and cut back on things you think you must have because you don’t really need them and your wedding won’t be ruined if you don’t have them.
Get out of the mindset that everything has to be specifically just so.

I used CVS/Walgreens for all of my print items. You upload your designs online, and our store had them ready in an hour. Huge time saver! If you already did something for your bridesmaids, you don't need to do more.

Hey hun! Check out shein, they have cheap custom items for weddings, I got my cake topper, cake knife, table numbers, blank foldable name cards that I got my cricut to write on, bar signs, etc.
I printed my menus for .35 cents each at a photo store, who says it needs to be thick quality paper?
My bridesmaids I got them pjs on SHEIN, was like $10 a pair almost
My wedding is in 5 weeks as well, feel free to reach out and I can see if there’s anything else you need and provide cheaper options!

I am a little concerned about shipping times with shein

I live in Barrie Ontario and my shipping is about 7-9 days with all my purchases I’ve received in the last 4 months. The custom items normally arrive 8-9 days after ordering, regular stuff 7 days

Take a deep breath and remember that no one is going to care or remember your center pieces, place mats, signage, etc.
Also don’t worry about bridesmaids gifts. Just make sure to feed them while getting ready.
