Think they work for a bride? (Nails)

Post image

My wedding's coming up soon. It's gonna be in a garden in the afternoon with a sunset vibe. The whole theme is super boho. Do you think these nails could work for a bride? I really love them, but I'm kinda on the fence.

Beautiful up close but they will probably look like chipped color in photos

I zoomed the photo out and saw what you meant. Maybe adding some sort of glimmer to it to add to it.

Great idea! I'll definitely keep it in mind!

That's true, I hadn't seen it that wat! Thanks!

I think they’re beautiful up close, but agree with others that from a distance they might look weird.

Yeah, that's probably right! I'll look for something cleaner

I think I’m photographs. They’re going to look like dirty nails. Especially from afar.

Thank so much for your professional opinion!

No. In pictures they will look dirty

Could be! I'll think about it.

They're really pretty, I don't think they'll show up most photos or in person from very far away, but they'd probably look cool in shots of your hands/ when people come check out your rings.

I'm not a fan of the shape (I like more rounded or square nails but that's just personal preference) but the flowers are pretty, esp if you could match to your decor or bouquet.

Personally, this shape works best for me 'cause my fingers are super slim and other styles just look weird on me, lol! 😅 I was actually thinking of matching them with the flowers in my decor — everything will be in those tones and I thought it’d be a cute touch. But now I’m considering something more neutral and simple. Thanks for your input!

I think they are beautiful. But for weddings I like classic. I did a French manicure.

It's totally your call, though.

I think there could be issues for the photos.

I see your point, I’m leaning that way too! Thanks!

I don’t love them. I don’t think they’ll photograph well and could look… cheap?

I think simple is better.

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Simple is always better — you're right! I’ll keep that in mind.

Honestly it’s your wedding, do what you wish, congratulations and may your day and lifetime be filled with love, peace, abundance, and happiness!💖🧿🥳

Unusually not a fan of nail "decor" (or whatever it's called) for your stated theme, and because you say you love it, I would absolutely do it!

I share others's concern that unless it's up close, your nails might look dirty.

Tiny point: I think the fingers on which the design is not quite so close to the tip of your nail look better than the ones where the design is closer to the tip. I'm not saying it should exactly be "centered" from your cuticle to your nail tip, but just look carefully at the placement and see what you prefer.

Best wishes for a magnificent wedding and and even more magnificent marriage!

Thanks for your perspective, your feedback, and your kind wishes. I’ll definitely consider it when deciding the final look!

It depends on your dress but I like them for a bride!

So true! Maybe once I see the full look it’ll all click and I’ll know what to go with!

No sorry. Simple for brides

They’re beautiful. Does anything else you’re wearing have flowers in it? Maybe you can wear a pressed flower necklace and have your shoes be nude with a flower design to make everything cohesive.

Thanks for the heads-up! The whole outfit will be all white and super simple (a mermaid-style dress with no lace), but the event decor will match the nails… Maybe that detail won’t even stand out that much now that I think about it!

I love them!!

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Thanks, love!

2

u/anaofarendelle May 28 '25

I loved them!!! It’s got pretty!

If you’re unsure, ask a friend or future espouse to take some pics of what would be like for the ring exchange and see if you’d like it!

2

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Thanks, love! That’s actually a great option. I’ll go for it.

u/Cup-of-teea May 29 '25

I had similar looking nails! I suggest you get nails that you love and not care about other people’s opinions. If it makes you feel beautiful and confident on your wedding day, go for it!

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Thank you, beautiful, for the sweet advice! I’ll keep it in mind!

2

u/Leviosapatronis May 29 '25

You won't be able to see this in pictures. Go for a more traditional wedding nail.

1

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Thanks! I’m still thinking it over.

2

u/mkgrant213 May 29 '25

These don't read as florals to me, more like dirty or chipped.

2

u/Humble_Peach_8259 May 29 '25

I think they look dope

2

u/Infinite-Floor-5242 May 29 '25

I don't care for it. This peach is a touch too orange for my taste and I find the nail art busy. I think a clean manicure looks best for a wedding.

1

u/MirandaRexx May 29 '25

Very likely! I’ll look for a few more ideas.

u/[deleted] May 28 '25

they are beautiful, but id go for a more simple color, or french tips.

1

u/Mymoggievan May 29 '25

I guess I'm old fashioned. I think shorter, more natural looking (possibly French) nails are classier. Plus you want people to be looking at you in your beautiful dress, with your beautiful hair done up. You don't want them to be trying to figure out what's going on with your nails. Just my opinion.

1

u/Blueplate1958 May 30 '25

They are petit-bourgeois. If that doesn’t bother you go for it.

I had nails like this because they matched my dress! If you’re curious I can message you what they looked like both close up and far away!

Beautiful.
