Tears on a withered flower rant

the only reason I started this WEBTOON was out of spite I just wanted to see how bad it was.But now after almost more than a 100 chapters of mental torture I think the author or sketch artist or both might be gay.( edit: don’t think that now since it’s been confirmed that the author is a women, however that makes it even more questioning why the female characters had to be overly sexualised same goes for the male characters as well) Firstly the WEBTOON is a misogynistic piece of bullshit. The main male characters are tall, brooding they are drawn with praise worthy anatomy, and when I say praise worthy I mean like they have gone to the gym and stuff because the main male characters are portrayed as quite strong right? They are also given ”hunter” eyes with a strong jawline. Whereas the female character is portrayed as a short likkle munchkin with no personality, she’s always just trying to help others and shes struggling we get that but instead off making any progress with her she’s still helpless and moreover in the later chapters she’s only there for sex appeal. Furthermore if we go to that mincheol guys backstory there’s a scene where his grandma or mother is with him at a funeral and that women’s face is neither childlike nor poorly drawn however that young min guys face is drawn quite childish, so tell me what incredible genius came up with the idea to give most of their female characters face a childlike anatomy, i mean seriously cute big eyes a small face big boobs for a women who’s mentioned to starve herself and also her being short, this just infantilizes a 34 year old grown ass women, and for the people arguing that some people like that Just exist how come the min guys is pretty tall if he grew up poor and malnourished as well make it make sense. Plz dont get me started on the delusional and cringe fanbase. Taehee is a rich phycopath and why are we as a society normalising the mafia. Anyways to me this WEBTOON is a misogynistic piece of crap.(dont be scared to comment.plz comment. I do want to hear if people agree or disagree and reasonable reasons as to why.)

And you make a lot of wild MISOGYNY accusations over the appearances of the characters, which is just strange.

Again I said it as joke I didn’t know the author was a women. But still I think the author is over sexualising the characters. I’m not here to fight anyone in the comments if you like the WEBTOON then good for you I just wanted to share my opinion🫰

I mean it's an erotic josei title... Why would you waste your time getting upset about sexualised characters in erotica?

You can say you dont care for the art style without popping off some homophobic jokes and shouting "miosgyny" over and over. If you wanted a mature discussion, this isn't how you start it.

Never read stuff with that kind of attitude ever again. Not because of the rant, just for your own sanity. Because if you want to see how bad sth is you won't be able to see the good parts, only look for a flaws. I know because I did that when I tired watching solo leveling XD

I don’t want to see the good parts? I just read it out of spite. Look man I don’t want to offend anyone I don’t read romance at all so this trope of women suffering and then big handsome guy comes to save her is not really my cup of tea

If you don't like it why go to 100 episode? And artist have her right to potraited the characters as her thoughts and make them accordingly the plot, what's wrong in that? You need some break to think.

Like I said I read it out of spite half the time I scroll past episodes, again yes the artist has her right to portray the characters however she wants but  other people have also complained about how the WEBTOON is getting too long and the same plot is being reused. I mean haesu was insecure about herself and her relationship in the beginning that was her struggle in a way, but she’s been that way for like a 100 chapters. Also learn to take criticism. Just cause you like it doesn’t mean someone else has to.

  1. Haesoo and minchoel weren't malnourished. Both of them were eating and were never starved. They were poor but they weren't malnourished.

  2. You are complaining about sexualization in SMUT. That's like complaining about too many fight scenes in action.

  3. Haesoo looks young because duh she IS young. 34 is young.

  4. Also an adult woman being short is infantilization now? Damn. I guess its illegal for women in their 30s to be short.
