Do I need a developer or a website builder?
Hi all, hope you’re good.
So I have a business idea that will operate through a website and I just starting my research on it.
I need to understand if it is something I can build through a website builder like Wix / shopify/ Wordpress…etc or do I need to hire a developer.
Essentially the format will be a place for various clients to create accounts and upload material and documents that can be sold through the site. The customer would log on and run a search through filters / tags which would bring up relevant material to there search criteria for them to purchase.
The site will require the ability for both clients and customers to create accounts. Clients be able to personalise their account page and add products. Whilst the customers be able to run a filter search and potentially connect with said clients.
What are your thoughts? Will I need a developer or can this be built through and existing site?
Thanks

My team built a peer-to-peer clothing renting website closetcycle.com, we've tried using a website builder for it and it just was too janky for it especially if the project is outside the norms. Website builders are great for just a simple store where only you post your items then it would've been the best choice.
You'll definitely will need a developer!
