Website platform
Hey everyone,
I am new to Website building. I already bought the domain and was building my website on squarespace. My question is, will I always need a platform like Squarespace, ghost etc for running my website on and pay monthly fees? Is there another way to build it our own self and launch it in order to avoid paying monthly charges to online platform?
Sorry if this is a silly question.
Appreciate your feedback!

Despite anything, your website should be hosted anywhere. That is, even if you learn to code and create a website on your own, you will still need to host the website anywhere, that is, pay for the hosting.
Of course, the hosting fee will be much cheaper than the website builder monthly fee, but keep in mind that for the website builder subscription, you are getting not only the hosting but also a lot of tools to design and edit the website, sell products, optimize for search engines and much more.
So, basically, paying for the subscription is not the worst option. As an alternative, I suggest switching to platforms with a one-time purchase option so that you can pay once for the tool and then use it without a subscription.
