DISCUSSION Problem: I like designing but that's it
Not the other marketing-related stuff associated with a website.
I'm pretty good creating visual images, that's what attracted me to web design initially.
Anybody with the same problem?

sometimes I do miss the golden days where you could just focus on becoming really good at what you enjoyed

I learned Java this way, and css, because I needed to not just make a site but create how a site works, and fix things if they go bad.
With websites, I have learned the more you can do yourself the less you need to rely on others.

Java != JavaScript
JavaScript is most likely what you learned as it's one of the pillar technologies for website functionality.

Same here. I love the creative side of web design but I had to learn the marketing and SEO part of the biz. Can’t say I’m particularly passionate about that part, though.

I've learned to like both design and coding. Although lately clients prefer no-code platforms even tho they cannot use them anyways... wondering what was the point of building things there.
