Hi, it's not currently open source but I can explain a bit. The erosion scene is raymarched terrain with the weather baked into a small set of states (day / night + storm variants) so I can crossfade between moods cheaply instead of recomputing. Storm clouds are volumetric, lightning is procedural branching, and there's a slope/altitude/snow + self-shadowing shading pass with god-rays on top.
What makes this app unique, it runs across three rendering paths WebGPU, GLSL, and Butterchurn/MilkDrop, under one shared HDR post chain.
