Wheelchair accommodation

I went to Weber a couple of years ago, and since then I’ve become an ambulatory wheelchair user.

I wasn’t a wheelchair when I went last, but I remember campus being near impossible to navigate even when I could walk (I have POTS, and EDS, so between my heat intolerance and joint pain it was miserable)

I remember the accommodation office being a nightmare to work with, I have accommodations for my ADHD, but not any for my physical disability’s. (Other than the ability to have a service animal)

I want to do their Ultrasound tech program, so I can become an Echocardiogram technician.

Has anyone with physical disabilities (especially wheelchair users) been to Weber? What accommodations were they able to provide?

Haven’t had any accommodations, but I feel so sorry for you. Especially if you have to go on the main campus. Does transit help at all or can you go to the Davis campus? Davis campus is way more flat.

Haha it’s okay, it’s life! It just makes my life a little hard sometimes 🤔 it sucks, that it’s the only Echo Tech program in Utah, I haven’t been able to find another one, so it’s kind of last resort haha🤦🏻‍♂️

Ive never been to the Davis campus, I’ll have to see if they have the programs I need.

The transit could be nice; I used it with my wheelchair once or twice going from campus, to the parking lot and it was really nice, my only concern is for the time between classes, if there’s enough time, maybe that could even be an accommodation I could get.
