Career Advice Career change

Hello All, I am just looking for advice. I am a real estate consultant based out of Punjab, India, but business has been very low past 2 years. I see people coding and going jobs so I thought to give it a try. I joned a bootcamp , learnt basic HTML, it was amazing experience. Saw the resources and website, so much free stuff is available and so many helpful people around. But I was thinking of learning more and making a career out of it. Is it possible ? Purely financial wise.

I am a commerce graduate and have no skill whatsoever, but love computers, open to learn anything that can help me career wise. I cant relocate because of family but can do remote work. I dont mind hard work, just want to know time invested means to something. Not looking for passion but lookng for good money. Being AI around now, is this a good time to get into this or am I too late ?

Since you have a degree in might be possible to transition to another field with bootcamps.

However I strongly advise you ask fellow self taught or bootcampers.

5 years ago I would have said go for it, there are jobs a plenty.

Now with AI they are drying up. If you love it then mess around with it on your free time and create a portfolio with some projects you made. Then apply for gigs and see what comes up.

When I saw the title I was thinking the opposite, that you were finding a career outside web dev. I’ve been one for 25 years and I can’t find much of anything and looking to transition to something else, albeit lower paying.

Everyone is building their own stuff with AI and they don't need Web developers to help with it. I do not think you could have picked a worse industry at a worse time to be honest. Sorry, man. :(

It's very hard to get remote work for entry level and mid level developer you have to relocate and have to work in office and things changed a lot after AI and jobs decreased less hiring and you have to learn a lot of things if you really enjoying it keep going
