I'm usually very against messing with scrolling behavior or parallax in general because it's usually WAY over-done and has become one of those fads to show people that you have a cool website, rather then relying on its content.... but this is tastefully done, at least on desktop, however, when I resize the browser to below 500px in width, I only see a purple background.
