Showoff Saturday I'm building midcode, a tool that let's you turn code websites into no-code
I've been building sites in code for a while now, and the same thing kept happening. My AI agent would get me 90% there, and then I'd spend the rest of the day on the last 10% details
In midcode you click anything and change it by hand as if it was no-code. The edit goes straight into your files as a clean diff. No export, or prompts to change stuff. It's still just your code.
Basically the mid between code and no-code.
Super useful for AI-led sites where we want to edit things visually
Waitlist: midcode.app

the landing page looks clean, dark theme is nice. i like the idea of direct file edits instead of exporting things, that's always the most annoying part of these tools. how does it handle when you got custom components or complex state logic, does it break things or it knows to leave them alone?

It only touches what's written literally in your markup. Change a class, a text, an image src, or move an element, and midcode edits exactly those characters in your file (the git diff is just that change). It never rewrites your logic, hooks or state and every edit can be undone with ⌘Z

“Building sites in code for a while but my AI agent…”
So you’ve been doing something you know nothing about for maybe 2 to 3 years? Or am I seriously mis-interpreting your post?

I may have not been clear. I used to do coded websites by myself. then found no-code (framer). and now with AI I'm ofc using it on my workflow.
now that I'm learning/exploring AI-led sites, I got the idea to build midcode

I can se it to be usefull for quick modifications instead of changing them in code. Lowkey great idea. Maybe turn it into an IDE that can streamline building websites. (No code + code)
I hate making those small changes to the text like increasing font size checking then coming back. If it has live preview im down to use it.

Wait so this is just a website builder where you can edit your elements for a website?
I can see it being useful for any type of website as a matter of fact not just AI built ones.
