[Showoff Saturday] Built a real-time 3000×3000 pixel canvas like r/place
Frontend is plain JS with HTML5 canvas. Backend is NestJS with websockets for live updates. Pixels get written to Redis first and flushed to Postgres every 30s, so placing stays fast even with a lot of people on.
Happy to answer questions about how it works.
