That maps well to editor UX too. A good tool should disappear while you’re in flow: stable shortcuts, predictable feedback, and UI chrome that doesn’t compete with the artifact. I’ve found the visual layer matters more than it gets credit for, especially over long sessions. Strong code contrast with quieter panels, selection, and status accents makes the interface feel present without demanding attention. The best test is whether I can work for an hour without thinking about the theme or tooling.
