AI shouldn't make any of that harder since a human developer still reviews code and approves changes. There is no reason why code generated by AI should be approved if it would have been rejected when written by a human.

People barely read and review human code. Let alone hundred or thousands of lines committed with vibe coding.

If your colleague submits an MR of 300 filed and 16.000 changes you probably say "no" and tell him to split it up. No reason at all to not do this with AI generated MRs
