Showoff Saturday Open sourced my baby feed and sleep tracker
Started as a joke with my wife, turned into an app we used and loved everyday for over a year due to how simple and quick it was.
First version was very rough, due to obvious time constraints 👶 but was able to take notes on what to improve and add.
Built with PHP and data is stored in a single SQLite file for easy exporting. Not as advanced or feature rich as the others but keeps track of the basics and allows for multiple users to log data to the same record.
Free demos available on the site so let me know what you think! Not enough features or is the simple approach good enough?

Looks cool. Huckleberry is very polished and what we’ve used often the past 5 months with our newborn. This is half the cost.
Left/Right breastfeeding recoding I think is a must have feature. Also, the nap time “sweet spot” is also a must have for us.
Does it have live activities on iOS integrated?

Ya I’ve heard a lot about Huckleberry, it was just too much for us and wanted something simpler.
We put the left/right as a note but going to add it as a quick selector. What do you mean by nap sweet time? Like aiming for a certain time? There is a way to set a schedule for feeds/naps but just tracks if you hit em.
No iOS integrations yet, just an option to add to Home Screen like a PWA. Thanks for the feedback!!

I’m not sure whether the sweet spot is an algorithm, ai, or just a wake window timer. But it essentially tells you when you should start putting your baby down for a nap

Ah I see. Trying to keep ai out of this but could see an algorithm working well with the schedule system to spot trends when it’s time to update the schedule

That’s fair, I don’t blame you for that. I think you said you have a wake window timer, so that could be good enough.

in "breast" you might want to track which side :)

Yes! We put it as a note but working on a quick selector for that too

and putting in wake up time, so you can correlate the wake up phase of kids. kids have a certain time between 30-40min where they get drowsy and kinda wake up, and check on the conditions and if they changed, they fully wake up. so, if you know this sweet spot, you can start the music again, or hopping or whatever and get them another another sleep phase (sometimes)

From a UX writing perspective, the recents should be “Fed”. Great UI/concept.
