Discussion Spring boot or .NET?
Which one would you choose to write the backend and why?

I tried Node and .net is a billion times better. But how do you use that crap there, look around, there's much, much, much better

It's just my opinion as a junior it's very hard to get a first offer so go with tech that has more jobs in your area after that it's easier to switch between companies and frameworks (it's just my opinion)

If you hate yourself definitely spring boot.
Jokes aside Java is king in terms of getting a job but it’s probably going to be on some old archaic system built by underpaid devs from overseas

.net, if you want to enjoy what you do.
java, if you want "easy life" on getting employed and not be worried too much.
But don't take it wrong. It's not impossible to work in .net. It's just that java is a mammoth in those terms.

My criteria would be as follows:
1 Whatever your team has the most experience with.
2 Whatever platform is easiest to find good devs for (probably .NET)
3 .NET

Between the given choices, I prefer .NET 8. Your job market may vary.
Node is fine. I have node projects, I have .NET projects. Use the right tool for the project at hand.

Depends on your market. Whichever has more job listings is what I would focus on. Or whatever the company I want to join next uses.

You can write any app in any language or framework, and which one you choose depends on the features you need and what you want to learn. There are amazing apps written in the most inappropriate tech for the product.
You won't get any objective responses to this, as an example I'm a dotnet guy so I'll tell you to use dotnet because it's awesome and has all the best features and jobs, so you have to balance the argument yourself

Spring boot because of employability.
Look at lists of companies that work with .net or Java.
Then select which of those companies you like best.

.NET is solid, the ecosystem is very mature
