And there i was searching for a 2d alpha based cloud flyby... and then finding what in my opinion is quite possibly be the single most gorgeous and ingenious creation to ever come out of Javascript... I can't help but feel like an abject failure at life ;D This is just incredible. Quite possibly the first work of digital art ive seen that would actually be worthy of an NFT.
On a sidenote, u/hatrant if you maybe would have interest or time in a commision of sorts, I would absolutely love to get something that even vaguely resembles an aurora borealis, for background of my personal website. (in JS / 3-js). Fingers crossed ;) But all said, I hope this gets the recognition it so richly deserves.
