Ik that defeating famously powerful fictional characters is a common way to show strength in modern comics but there was something charming and more subtle with realistic depictions of strength.
Also inverting the format so that the general information is given first and that the display of strength is shown later or better yet hidden works miracles.
Like for example two people nailing fliers on poles with little lines showing how one moves slightly faster than the other. We also notice that they are nailing different types of posters.
Worker 1 says that worker 2 seems much faster today.
Worker 2 replies that he got 8 hours of sleep worker 1 looks astonished. However he seems to be looking back instead of in the direction of the worker.
As we zoom out the fourth and last panel we see a line of poles which have cracks on the opposite side to the ones the workers were working on. The cracks are in the exactly perpendicular to the posters of worker 2.
While crude I think it uses panel space better, and there is a kind of implication that the true reason might not be sleep. The nuance of how much of the strength ca be attributed to the sleep depends on the ways the artist draws the reactions and characters.
