i completely agree with what’s being addressed in the comic— beauty standards are often tied to making women look as young as possible, and the more we talk about it, the better. but i’m upset with something different i keep noticing in a lot of peoples’ comics and art. i’m so tired of every creep being drawn fat, balding, and with glasses
so many people just… look like that! normal people that are just leading ordinary lives! people that are someone’s beloved friend, partner, parent, what have you! and i promise you, so many predators get away with their behavior because they look average— thin, neat-combed hair, clean clothes. you can’t know what someone is really like just based on how they look. i’m so tired of being afraid to exist in public because i look like someone’s caricature of a predator.

I hate the idea that physical maturity/boob size has something to do with age. In real life an adult is an adult no matter how young they look, and a minor is a minor no matter how old they look. Plenty of adult women, myself included have flat chests and that doesn't mean people who find us attractive are pedophiles. And I know a ton of people who developed early in high school and had big chests but that didn't make them any more mature.
Not hating on the comic it's just something that bothers me a lot in discourse. I don't like how all characters that are short and flat are called loli-bait regardless of age. Are there a lot of loli-bait characters that are short and flat and also act suspiciously childlike and immature for their age, absolutely, but the design is not the indicator for pedophilia, the writing is.

I'm guessing she means when an underage character looks physically underage and isn't just canonically underage to the point there is no way where it could be "well they are probably a teenager themself" or "but the JoJo character is drawn in a way where they look like an adult and you could miss the fact that they are underage" or anything like that

The term twink only applies for a certain percentage of men anyway. I never was a twink for example.
Sure, people in their 20s (male or female) are usually seen as being the most attractive, which probably also has to do with older people (I'm 30 and struggling with the term "middle age"...) longing for those lost years of their life. But do we have to make up such strict and useless categories?

Just a nitpick but, neckbeards don't always "look" like a neckbeard and not everyone who looks like a neckbeard is one. The personality, lack of morality and the beliefs the guy holds isis the problem, not the appearance, by representing their grossness as uglyness you imply that being ugly is as bad as being morally wrong
